Community Mentors

EDUCARE (HB1519)



Start Up and Expansion program assists child care providers with licensing and increased child care slots. Accreditation Facilitation program assists licensed child care providers with accreditation and provides a Child Development Associate (CDA) class annually. Stay At Home Parent program (known as PEP – Positive Educational Parenting) offers home visitation, group meetings and incentives for income-eligible parents with children birth to age three. Family Transition Team



This inter-agency staffing team receives and staffs referrals for special and unmet needs of families and individuals. (573) 651-3747 ext. 107.

Parenting with Purpose



This program provides training to parents and educators in the community focusing on practical techniques to help raise the odds of raising respectful and responsible kids. (573) 651-3747 ext. 109.

Show Me Healthy Women



This program provides early detection services for breast and cervical cancer for low-income women through provider clinics across the state. (573) 651-3747 ext.119

Successful Parenting



This program provides ongoing presentations for parents, grandparents, foster parents and caregivers at several locations in the community. Partners include member agencies of the Parent and Community Education Committee. (573) 651-3747 ext.104.

Wisewoman
