Prevalence & Prevention of Youth Substance Abuse in Southeast Missouri: What Can I Do?
This is a 30-page booklet written by the Southeast Missouri Youth Substance Abuse Coalition in August 2005. Topics include local statistics and real life stories of local youth. Chapters include specific suggestions for interaction with youth for prevention, intervention and treatment. Seven community sectors are highlighted in the chapters: Parents, Child Care Providers, Educators, Youth Group Leaders, Coaches, Employee Supervisors and Agency Personnel.

This card is produced and distributed by the Parent and Community Education Priority Issue Council to highlight resources for parents, grandparents and caregivers with children.
Alcohol & Drug Abuse/Mental Health Resources Card
This card is produced and distributed by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Priority Issue Council and the Mental Health Coalition to highlight area resources for substance abuse and mental health treatment. Private providers listed on the card are limited to those who responded to our mental health services survey.

This card is produced and distributed by the Primary Care Coalition and includes medical clinics that accept Medicaid, Medicare and/or offer a sliding fee scale for services.

This guide is produced and distributed by the Aging Committee and the Independent Living Priority Issue Council to help seniors and disabled individuals connect with resources that will help to meet their needs.

This card is produced and distributed by the Primary Care Coalition for the purpose of encouraging area residents to find a “Medical Home”. Having a family doctor is very important to family wellness and reduces visits to the emergency room. Also included are medical clinics that accept Medicaid and Medicare patients.

Kasten Community Development Center Reservation Form
The Kasten Community Development Center is located at 937 Broadway, Suite 102. Two meeting rooms are available for use by any community group at no charge.
